A 56m S/Y is looking for a 2nd officer to join them in either Fiji or NZ between September and October.
For the right person, this role offers plenty of room for advancement in that they will be working under two experienced first officers and a long-term crew. Further, the owner has a larger SY in build. They have a well structured package which offers good incentives to reward longevity.
Strong managerial and leadership skills are required as you will be managing a team of day workers and less experienced deck crew. A thorough knowledge of deck maintenance products is essential along with a rounded knowledge in sailing, seamanship, and deck practices. You will be responsible for carrying out and overseeing planned and preventative maintenance on all deck hardware and rigging. Prior experience with the administration of P&PM software IDEA would be a bonus but not a necessity. Experience in maintaining LSA and FFE equipment and administering a safety maintenance system to a high standard.
They have a well planned itinerary up to 2024, which is world cruising. This includes French Polynesia and Fiji until October and heading to NZ for a summer season 22/23 and then back to the Med and the Caribbean for the following year.
